Live Chat is currently being trialled and may be switched on or off periodically.
How does it work?
When one of the team has joined the chat, you’ll see the phrase 'The adviser is typing' displayed in the chat window. You will be able to see the message once they have finished typing.
When it appears, you can type your response and press enter so your message can be viewed.
Sometimes it can take a little while for the agent to type their message to you, so please don't worry if you don't get an immediate response. You'll need to keep the window open while they are typing otherwise you may miss their response.
When you have finished your chat session, please press End Chat. You will be given the option to have the transcript of the conversation sent to you by email.
By using Live Chat you are agreeing to share your information with us.
Exclusion
A member of the team will end a Live Chat session if a user becomes abusive, threatening, uses inappropriate language or tries to prevent the service being used effectively by others.
