We are now working with SignVideo to help British Sign Language (BSL) users in the UK. This Video Relay Service (VRS) will allow hearing and Deaf people to communicate via the phone.

How does it work
- When you click on the link below, you will be instantly connected with an interpreter.
- This interpreter will relay the call to the Helpline team, so you don't have to do anything else.
Information videos
We also have a series of British Sign Language videos that cover the information in our Stroke support pack.
You can find these on our YouTube channel on two playlists: After your stroke and Supporting someone after a stroke.
After your stroke
A series of videos created for stroke survivors and performed in British Sign Language. There are videos explaining stroke, its effects, and life after stroke.
Supporting someone after a stroke
A series of videos created for carers and people supporting someone after a stroke. All videos are performed in British Sign Language explaining stroke, its effects, and life after stroke.
Many thanks to the Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People in Bristol and their members for collaborating with us to develop BSL resources.
You can download, or order free printed copies of a poster, with a QR code taking people to support on this webpage.
There’s also a QR code that stroke survivors and their loved ones can scan to watch a BSL video about this poster.
