Social media is a simple and effective way to fundraise. Ask friends and family for a one-off donation, or to sponsor you for taking on a challenge.

On Facebook

Add a donation button

Create a post on your Facebook newsfeed with a donation button, and link that button to the Stroke Association. To do this, click 'what’s on your mind?' and then either of the following two options:

  • In the 'add to your post' box, tag Stroke Association, 'post', then 'add button' to create a donate button.
  • Click 'feeling/activity', select 'supporting'. Find 'Stroke Association', click 'post' and then 'add button' to confirm that you want to add the donate button to your post.

Donate directly via our Facebook page

If you don’t want to set up anything yourself, it is easy to donate straight to the Stroke Association page.

  • Visit our Facebook page.
  • Click the blue 'donate' button.
  • Complete your payment details.
  • Click 'submit'.

On Instagram

Instagram now allows charities and their supporters to raise money through Instagram stories. It's easy to do. Here's how.

  • In Instagram, open the camera and take or upload a photo that best highlights your cause.
  • Tap the sticker icon.
  • Select the donation sticker from the tray.
  • Select the Stroke Association.
  • Customise your fundraiser using stories' creative tools.
  • Tap 'send to'. Then tap 'share' next to your story.

As with a Facebook Fundraiser, 100% of the money raised will come to us.
