Sing for Stroke
We’re asking you to help us hit the right chord for stroke recovery.
Take part in Sing for Stroke and help stroke survivors find strength through support.
How you can get involved
If you’d like to take part in Sing for Stroke

Every day this summer, another 240 people will face the life-changing impact of a stroke.
A stroke can change a life in seconds, leaving survivors unable to walk, speak, or live independently.
What is Sing for Stroke?
Sing for Stroke is a fun and flexible fundraising challenge. Here are some ideas of how you can take part:
- You could organise an event to celebrate World Stroke Day on 29 October.
- Support us by fundraising at a concert or community event.
- Organise a live stream or fundraiser on social media and help us amplify our message.
- Take part in an open mic night or festival and ask for donations.
- Busking in your local town (please get the necessary permission to do this).
- Organise a karaoke night at home with friends and family.
Make sure your fundraising is safe and legal
We want to make sure that you have everything you need to make your event fun, but also to keep it safe and legal. We have a wide range of advice, including insurance, cash handling and serving food and drink. Read the guidelines.
Why Sing for Stroke?
Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke.
It's common for people to have communication difficulties after a stroke.
Stroke survivors might not be able to read, find their words or string together sentences.
This can feel very isolating and can make it harder for them to do things on their own, like going to the shops.
Speech and language therapy can help. We've also found through our Stroke Support groups and research, that singing can help too.
By taking part in Sing for Stroke and fundraising for us, you’ll be helping us delivery our vital work.

Support
Providing specialist services for people affected by stroke, including our Stroke Support Helpline and support groups.

Recovery
Funding pioneering stroke research that can improve prevention, treatment and care.

Research
Supporting stroke survivors every step of the way, from leaving hospital to daily living.
