About Parent-to-Parent Volunteer Calls

If you've been affected by childhood stroke, you might find it helpful to speak to one of our trained parent volunteers. They’re all parents of a child who has had a stroke, who’ve been there and understand what you’re going through.

They have a wide range of experiences to share. From coming to terms with stroke as a family to returning to school. Parent volunteers also understand and appreciate first-hand the practical and emotional challenges you are facing.

Sharing your experience and talking things through on the phone can help you feel more supported, connected and able to take the next step in your child's recovery.

Parents have told us talking with another parent helped. They said it made them feel less alone, more knowledgeable, and confident to cope with the impact of their child's stroke.
