Involvement means working with stroke survivors, carers and others by taking part in activities such as focus groups and have an active voice in helping us improve our digital products and services.

Rather than doing things to or for people with lived experience of stroke, involvement means engaging with them.

In this way, stroke survivors and caregivers are a part of discussions that are important to them. Several projects have been completed to help shape services, create products, and improve decision-making at the Stroke Association.

Involvement brings an essential perspective from people affected by stroke. It enables us to make more informed decisions and know what is important to you.

We understand that everyone is unique and has different needs and we would like for you to join us so you can contribute your ideas through a variety of methods. Meaningful involvement makes a difference. Stroke survivors and carers who participate benefit from it as well.

When people see and understand your lived experience, others are empowered, gain confidence, and feel inspired while also giving them hope. By using your lived experience of stroke, you can contribute to the community.

Having a better understanding of the experiences of stroke survivors and carers helps our charity to better serve the needs of people affected by stroke. We can safely use the knowledge, skills, and expertise of a wide variety of people to develop products and services that are useful and accessible to a wide range of people.

As a stroke survivor, carer or someone who has been touched by stroke your involvement means everything and we would love to hear from you.

If you would like to be part of our network, to help improve our digital products and services please sign up by filling out the form below.

We look forward to hearing from you!
