Stroke support groups are a safe space to:

  • Try new things.
  • Feel supported.
  • Find your strength in your recovery.

Groups can be big or small. They meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Some meet in person and others meet online.

There are around 400 groups across the UK. They're all run by friendly volunteers. Many have had a stroke themselves. No matter where you are in your stroke recovery, you can connect with people who understand what you're going through.

If you'd like to find a group meeting in person, you can look at what's available in your area. Search for your local group by postcode below or view all groups on a map.

Local authorities can also tell you about other support groups and services. Find your local council
