If you’re involved in leading or volunteering at a stroke support group, then the annual Stroke Group Network Conference is for you.
The conference is a chance for everyone from across the Stroke Group Network, to come together as one community; to share experiences, learn from each other and celebrate all you do.
This free online was held online on Monday 7 – Tuesday 8 October 2024 and over 220 people registered for the online event, representing 95 stroke support groups. Plus, a further 47 people joined two watch parties in the Southeast areas.

What's on the programme?
The focus of this year’s programme was the ‘Power of Connection’ and how we strengthen our community of support for stroke survivors.
Co-created with our planning group of group leaders and volunteers the programme covered:
- How to support caregivers of stroke survivors
- Ideas for inclusive activities
- Inspiring examples of groups connecting with their local communities
- Plus,a discussion around hot topics affecting groups and updates from the Stroke Association’s Chief Executive, Juliet Bouverie and other speakers.
